the hands-on-humanities project
Activating equality in educational opportunity

Add an exciting new dimension to your Years 7 and 8 history programs through participation in a school based program mediated by experienced educators who specialise in teaching ancient history within an object-inspired learning framework. Our activity modules have been specifically designed to advance your students observational, analytical and interpretation skills through direct engagement with objects and a discussion of their experience with peers. Find out more about the modules we offer here.
The unique nature of our program model guarantees that for every funded class the project team delivers the same opportunity will be provided at zero cost to an equivalent number of disadvantaged students.
‘Our Story in a Box’ is a proud initiative of the hands-on-humanities project. Find out more about this project, the boxes that have been created, and watch the presentations from our recent symposium.
